Perfecting Summer Skin

Summer Must Haves

Summer Must Haves by jmariediet featuring a sheer foundation

Summer is on it’s way!  Finally!!  It’s been a long winter and Im sure we are all ready to shed the layers and feel the sunshine!  While the sun and heat can feel fantastic, especially after the winter we’ve had, it can also take a toll on our skin. Here are some of my favorite summer products perfect for dealing with heat, humidity and sunshine!

MAC Pro Longwear Foundation:  No more foundation fatigue! This foundation is comfortable, lightweight and creamy. Giving light to medium coverage, which is perfect for those summer months we don’t necessarily need heavy coverage. Helps control oil while feeling soft and breathable. This foundation can last up to 15 hours!!  I have tested this out personally while on a 12 hour outdoor photo shoot during the summer heat - It held up wonderfully!!

Physician Formula Pressed Powder SPF 30:  This is a very nice summertime touch-up powder.  Not only does it protect agains the sun with SPF 30, but it’ll help control oil and shine.  it leaves a natural matte finish.  TIP - it comes with a brush for application - However, I prefer a small sponge square to apply with.  I use the sponge to blot onto my skin for a flawless finish!

Alteya Organics Bulgarian White Rose Water:  Look and feel refreshed!!  It is moisturizing, softening and helps stimulate and regenerate skin.  It has a light and refreshing fragrance of rose water.  TIP - leave this in your refrigerator and spritz on a light mist after a long day. Perks up skin and makeup and feels ultra refreshing!

Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner:  A wonderful long wearing eyeliner!  This is a great choice for summer since it doesn't transfer and smudge in the heat and humidity. It applies smoothly and easily and can be smudged and blended for a more smokey appearance.  TIP - for the smokey, smudged look, use a small eye shadow brush to lightly smudge the eyeliner after application.  Do this directly after application because once it sits for a bit, it doesn't move!
